(Music Video: Sugarwater – Cibo Matto)
This sketch is a Slit-scan generator that creates a radial slitscan image of imported/external media. I was inspired by Daniel Shiffman’s Coding train video 11.7 Slit Scan Video where he encourages us to see what a radial pattern may look like? When playing with it at the beginning, it reminded me a record shape ❤
I thought it could be fun to import various music video clips (Sugar Water by Cibo Matto above) and see what the video looked like by color data? / generate a record based on it. Would be fun to add a button where you could cycle through different video files. Would also be fun to get audio going too? But with the video converter I had it took the audio out I think? link to through studying playlist 11 tutorials
I was also really inspired by the link to Golan Levin’s Slit Scan Photography Archive. I especially liked the ones that played with timelapse photos of cities
